Common questions
Do I need an account?
Not to look words up. The dictionary, the morphological breakdown, the grammar reference and pronunciation are all on your device and work offline with no account at all.
You need to sign in — one tap, with Apple — only to save a word, because saved words and your review history live on our server so they survive a new phone.
I reinstalled and my words are gone
Sign in with the same Apple ID and they come back. They are stored against your account, not on the device.
If you deleted your account (not just the app), they are gone permanently — that is what deleting an account means, and signing in again creates a new, empty one.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your Apple ID subscription settings — Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS — not in Ekle. Apple manages the billing, so only Apple can cancel or refund it.
Deleting the Ekle app, or your Ekle account, does not cancel a subscription.
I paid but Ekle still shows the free tier
Open Settings → Restore purchases in the app. That re-checks your receipt with Apple. It works without an account, and it is the first thing to try after reinstalling or moving to a new device.
If it still shows free after that, write to us with the Apple ID email you purchased under.
A word is missing, or a breakdown looks wrong
Please tell us. The dictionary is large and the morphological analysis is automated, so gaps and mistakes happen — and they get fixed from reports. Include the exact word form you typed.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Ekle is iOS-first.
How do I delete my account and everything in it?
Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what it removes.
